A solid reserve of R&D talents is a guarantee for continued innovation capabilities. Leifei's R&D team is divided into two teams: Luminaire product team and smart urban control system team.

The luminaire product R&D team consists of nearly 40 talents in electronics, structure, optics, thermal, materials, industrial design, etc.

The smart city control system R&D team is composed of professionals in IoT technology, big data, information security.

In order to respond quickly to customer’s needs, the R&D center has set up an ETO (Engineering To Order) team in addition to standard product team. The reliability research platform and technology research platform, which aim to explore new technology reserve and to improve the reliability of technology, materials, and processes, are also important parts of R&D center. The R&D team broke through a technical difficulty and obtained a number of state-level invention patents, utility model patents and design patents.

After joining Signify, the R&D team from the parent company systematically cooperate with Leifei's team, and through professional training and cross-regional cooperation development support, Leifei's R&D system was improved greatly and its innovation capabilities were further enhanced.
